Abstract:
A method of automatically regulating the slump value of a hydraulic hardening material being kneaded, to a desired level, and a mixer, and more particularly to a method of automatically regulating the resistance value or a slump value of a hydraulic hardening material, consisting of the steps of detecting the resistance value of a hydraulic hardening material, which is being kneaded in a mixer having a rotary shaft with agitation blades, on the basis of the torque value of the rotary shaft of the mixer, a value of the electric power or current in an electric motor for driving the rotary shaft, the pressure in a hydraulic motor for driving the rotary shaft, or the number of revolutions per minute of the rotary shaft of the mixer or of the rotary shaft of the hydraulic motor for driving the rotary shaft of the mixer; and carrying out one or more operations out of an operation for increasing or decreasing the quantity of water, an operation for adding a slump value-increasing agent and an operation for varying the pressure when the above-mentioned resistance value or a slump value obtained through the conversion thereof is different from a desired resistance value or slump value, to thereby automatically regulate the resistance value or slump value to a desired level, and a mixer. The hydraulic hardening material referred to above means a mixture of a hydraulic setting material, such as cement and water and/or aggregate. The concrete and mortar obtained by the present invention has little dispersion of strength. The concrete prepared by using a mixture based on a hydraulic hardening material which contains aggregate having a suitable content of water has an increased strength, and enables the water curing therefor to be simplified. This concrete can be used for the civil engineering and building construction works, and, moreover, has the possibility that it can be widely applied to the manufacturing of secondary concrete products.
