Abstract:
The present invention relates to an automatic tool changer and a control method therefor, and a machine tool including same, the automatic tool changer allowing both a magazine and a tool post to move so as to form a concentric circle in order to change a tool mounted on the tool post and a tool accommodated in the magazine, thereby enabling various kinds of machining to be performed by a machine tool, specifically, a horizontal machine tool such as a lathe, wherein the magazine is provided in a horizontal direction so as to be parallel with the tool post, and the tool is provided in the magazine in a horizontal direction so as to be parallel with the tool post, and thus the prevent invention reduces non-machining time for tool changing, improves productivity, promotes operator convenience, promotes machine tool miniaturization while performing various kinds of machining, maximizes the extensibility and convenience of the machine tool through various kinds of machining, reduces the maintenance costs and time of the automatic tool changer and the machine tool, and enables maximization of machine tool machinability through the minimization of non-machining time.
