Abstract:
An automatic tool storage mechanism has a plurality of magazines, a conveying means, and a tool exchange arm. A large number of pots to which tools are attached are stored in each magazine.
The conveying means conveys pots each having one tool attached thereto between the position on the magazine side and the standby position near the main shaft. The tool exchange arm takes out a tool before use from a pot waiting in the standby position and attaches the tool to the main shaft, and takes out a used tool attached to the main shaft therefrom and attaches the tool to the pot.
