Abstract:
Provided are an automatic transaction system and an automatic transaction method with which various operations or transactions related to automatic counting can be performed with increased efficiency. The automatic transaction system is provided with: a first determination unit which makes a first determination as to whether money in a recycle cassette (118) and a reject cassette (115) agrees with a settled value being managed by a higher-level system (300); a second determination unit which makes a second determination as to whether the number of items of rejected money has been changed; and a third determination unit which makes a third determination as to whether the difference between the money in the recycle cassette (118) and the reject cassette (115) and the settled value being managed by the higher-level system (300) agrees with the difference between the result of a visual confirmation corresponding to a change in the number of items and a stock in the reject cassette (115). If visual confirmation is to be performed and if the first determination determines that there is no agreement, the second determination unit performs the second determination after the previous automatic counting process and before the start of visual confirmation. The third determination unit performs the third determination if the second determination determines that the number of items has been changed.
