Abstract:
An automobile body is configured in such a manner that: a side outer panel (32) is in contact with door openings (30, 31) in a side face of the automobile body with a seal member (23) therebetween, the side face being formed by joining an upper framework (73) to a lower framework (74) which is formed in a bathtub shape using CFRP; the side outer panel (32) is covered with a rear fender (35), a roof side molding (34), and a side sill garnish (33); and doors are in contact with the side outer panel (32) with door seals therebetween. As a result of this configuration, a seal line on the side face of the automobile body can be easily visually discerned and the seal member (23) can be easily adhered or applied. In addition, due to the face that the door seals are in contact with the side outer panel (32) and not in contact with the door openings (30, 31) in the side face of the automobile body, the freedom of design of the lower framework (74) and the upper framework (73), which form the side face of the automobile body, is increased, and the periphery of the door openings (30, 31) is easily and reliably sealed.
