Abstract:
This robot is provided with: an action control unit which selects a motion of the robot; a drive mechanism which executes the motion selected by the action control unit; and a remaining battery level monitoring unit which monitors the remaining battery level of a secondary battery. Behavioral characteristics of the robot change in accordance with the remaining battery level. For example, the lower the remaining battery level is, the higher the probability at which a motion having a smaller processing load is selected. The behavioral characteristics of the robot may be changed, by referencing consumption plan data for defining a power consumption pace of the secondary battery, in accordance with the difference between a remaining power level scheduled in the consumption plan data and the actual remaining battery level.
