Abstract:
Provided is an autonomous travel system with which a travel route for an autonomous travel device can easily be set. This autonomous travel system is equipped with: an autonomous travel device (2); a travel guide line (1) arranged along a travel route through which the autonomous travel device (2) passes; and a marker (3) arranged along the travel route. Operation control information related to operation of the autonomous travel device (2) is recorded in the marker (3) in a readable manner. The autonomous travel device (2) has: a detection unit (line sensor (21)) that detects the line (1); an acquisition unit (detection sensor (22)) that acquires the operation control information from the marker (3); and a control unit (23) that controls the operation of the autonomous travel device (2) on the basis of a detection result from the detection unit and the operation control information acquired by the acquisition unit.
