Abstract:
An avoidance mechanism for a brake rocker arm of an engine, the avoidance mechanism comprising a gap adjusting mechanism, a support mechanism fixed on an engine, and a biasing mechanism for placing a brake rocker arm at an avoidance position. The gap adjusting mechanism sets the avoidance position of the brake rocker arm, that is, a gap between the brake rocker arm and a base circle of a brake cam is not less than a lift of the brake cam. The support mechanism comprises a support plate, one end of the support plate being fixed to an engine body or a rocker shaft, and the other end thereof supporting the brake rocker arm. The biasing mechanism comprises a spring and biases the brake rocker arm to the avoidance position. A brake rocker arm using the avoidance mechanism does not move during a non-braking operation of an engine, which greatly reduces the use frequency thereof, mechanism detachment, and friction and impact. The present invention has the advantages of a low height, a small size, a light weight, low cost, durability, reliability, etc.
