Abstract:
The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a low-viscosity azo pigment, ink, and the like, having superior transparency and good dispersibility. An azo pigment according to the present invention has a zeta potential in isopropanol (IPA) of −80 mV to −30 mV. The azo pigment preferably contains 0.05 to 2.00 parts by mass of an elemental metal per 100 parts by mass of the azo pigment. The elemental metal is preferably elemental iron. The ratio (Fe/C) of elemental iron concentration Fe (atomic%) on azo pigment particle surfaces and elemental carbon concentration C (atomic%) on azo pigment particle surfaces according to X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is preferably 0.20 or less.
