Abstract:
The occurrence of coloring is suppressed at the ends of a screen when a backlight device having a configuration combining a blue LED and a wavelength conversion sheet is employed. A backlight device (600) in which a configuration is employed that combines a fluorescent sheet (65) and a blue LED (63) for obtaining a white light, wherein a reflective partition (67) is provided so as to surround the blue LED (63) on an LED substrate (62) (more specifically, so as to surround an LED unit comprising one or more blue LEDs (63)). The surface of the reflective partition (67) is formed from a reflective material. The height and angle of the reflective partition (67) are designed so that light emitted from the blue LEDs (63) corresponding to each area does not reach other areas.
