Abstract:
A backlight unit for a liquid crystal display device comprises: a light source; a first light guide plate for guiding the light emitted from a light source; a second light guide plate disposed behind the first light guide plate and movably provided so as to selectively be located in an overlapped position and a non-overlapped position in the front and rear directions of a predetermined area of the first light guide plate; and a driving unit for providing the driving force for moving the second light guide plate. Since two light guide plates are provided in the front and rear directions and the rear light guide plate is moved in a sliding manner so as to be selectively located in the position which is overlapped with or is not overlapped with the predetermined area of the front light guide plate, a rear reel can be selectively seen through the predetermined area when being applied to the game machine.
