CLAIM

I claim the method of producing a separate bag and glove from one single sheet; whereby the component parts of the sheet are pulled or cut apart via perforations, scoring or other permeations in the original sheet, thus creating two unique shapes; a separate bag with handles and a glove.

Description:
A bag and glove combination from a single sheet

DESCRIPTION

Technical Field:

The present invention relates to the collection of rubbish, often by volunteers, usually in a public place. The invention is suitable for making the physical act of collecting rubbish more convenient, efficient and hygienic than it otherwise would be.

Background of the Invention:

There are many different rubbish bags of many different designs on the market; gloves are also often used in the act of collecting rubbish for hygiene, safety and comfort. The present invention seeks to provide a convenient and quick solution to the provision of both a bag to collect rubbish in, and a glove to aid in the collection of rubbish by protecting the hand of the user. This is achieved by combining both a bag and a glove into one convenient, easy-to- use product. The invention is suitable for the increasingly popular activity of volunteer rubbish collection in public, solving as it does the need for the user to source a rubbish collection bag and then source a separate glove to use whilst collecting the rubbish. It's compact and simple design is suitable for mass production techniques, and its efficient sizing make it easy to transport and package; relative to transporting and packaging both a bag and separate glove.

Statement of Invention:

In its simplest form, the present invention is a flat sheet, comprising the shape of both a glove and a bag with two handles (fig. 1). The flat sheet can be made of various materials, including, but not limited to; plastic, recycled plastic, biodegradable materials, canvas, hemp, cotton and polyester. The flat sheet is double thickness, ie. 1 piece of material folded back on itself and attached around its edges.

Part A of the sheet (fig.l) is shaped like a glove in common understanding and parlance, and part B (fig.l + 2) of the sheet is similarly shaped to a carrier bag with handles, in common understanding and parlance. The shape of the two component parts of the sheet are made visually apparent by perforating, scoring or otherwise permeating, the material of the sheet, which is done during the production process.

Part A is pulled (by hand) or cut (with scissors) away from Part B by the user, causing the perforations/scoring in the material to tear or cut, thus separating Part A from Part B (fig.2). The individual digits of Part A, the glove, are torn (by hand) or cut (with scissors) away from each other, allowing the articulation of the glove digits so the user's hand can fit comfortably inside and allow movement of all fingers/thumbs (fig.3).

Part A is now used as a glove to provide protection of various kinds to the hand of the user whilst collecting rubbish (fig.3), and Part B is used as a bag in which to collect the rubbish (fig.3).
