Abstract:
This ball joint manufacturing method is for manufacturing, in the manner described below, a ball joint (J) provided with a ball stud (10) which is formed by integrally bonding a metal ball part (10b) to one end of a stud part (10s), and a resin housing (11) which has an inner spherical surface (11a) encompassing the ball part (10b) and which has a space that is open on one side. A housing mold (20) is used which has a cavity (20a) for insertion of the ball part (10b) and which forms a housing by molten resin (11Z) being poured into the cavity (20a). The ball part (10b) is inserted into the cavity (20a) and the ball stud (10) set in the housing mold (20), and the ball part (10b) is heated by means of a heater (40). After heating, after the molten resin (11Z) has been poured into the cavity (20a), the molten resin (11Z) and the ball part (10b) are cooled.
