Abstract:
A ball joint (10) has a housing (11), a ball stud (12), a ball seat (13), and a stopper ring (14) superposed on an end surface (13a) of the ball seat (13). The ball seat (13) has a concave spherical surface (50) in which a ball section (31) of the ball stud (12) is inserted and has an overhang section (51) for preventing the ball section (31) from coming out of the concave spherical section (50). The stopper ring (14) has a ring-like base section (70) and a stopper section (71) formed on the inner peripheral side of the base section (70). The stopper section (71) extends toward the overhang section (51). The stopper ring (14) is fixed to the housing (11) by a staking section (80). The staking section (80) is formed by bending a projection edge (25) formed at an opening (20) of the housing (11) to the stopper ring (14) side.
