Abstract:
Provided is a ball screw that achieves an improvement in the allowable rotational speed and a reduction in operational noise, and that is compatible with a wide range of variations while having a low cost. This ball screw (1) is equipped with a threaded shaft (10), a nut (20), and a circulation component (30) that returns balls from the terminal point to the starting point of a raceway. The circulation component (30) comprises a main body section (31) forming a cylindrical U-shape arranged in contact with the outside flat surface of the nut (20), and a pair of leg sections (32, 32) each of which is inserted respectively into one of two cylindrical circulation holes (23) provided in the outside flat surface and forming one set. With respect to the circulation holes (23) provided in the outside flat surface of the nut (20), the leg sections (32) are inserted in the direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the nut (20), and the main body section (31) is arranged in contact with the outside flat surface.
