Abstract:
A ball joint (J1) according to the present invention comprises a groove (21c1) formed in a circuit shape on the outer circumference of the body of a housing (21), and furthermore comprises a ring (24) that is arranged on the inner side of an open end of the housing (21) and placed on a ball seat (12). A roller (31) is then inserted into the groove (21c1) in the housing (21), and a groove formation body part (21d) in the area in which the groove (21c1) is formed is caused to project in a circuit shape within the housing (21) while the groove formation part (21d) is pressed in the insertion direction by the inserted roller (31), and due to this projecting, a projection (21e) that crimps the ring (24) is formed.
