Abstract:
A ball seat for teeing in golf play that includes a ball seat part whose bottom surface is in contact with the ground and a ball supporting part that supports a ball at its top edge part, and has a characteristic feature of forming an image area by making the cross-sectional area of the top edge part of the ball supporting part smaller than the ground surface area of the ball seat part. While the cross-sectional area of the top edge part of the ball supporting part is made smaller than the ground surface area of the ball seat part, the ball supporting part is formed tubular in its total shape by providing many narrow rods in vertical direction and in the shape of annulus, making the effective diameter of the head part freely variable by elastic deformation when it supports a golf ball. While the cross-sectional area of the top edge part of the ball supporting part is made smaller than the ground surface area of the ball seat part, the axial center of the ball supporting part is displaced from the center point of the ground surface of the ball seat part forming an image area that varies with the state of inclination. While the cross-sectional area of the top edge part of the ball supporting part is made smaller than the ground surface area of the ball seat part, the axial center of the ball supporting part is displaced from the center point of the ground surface of the ball seat part forming the image area, as well as providing image lines on the surface of the ball seat part in the radial direction from the axial center of the ball supporting part to the circumferential edge of the ball seat part.
