Title:
BALLAST WATER TREATMENT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/132462
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In order to obtain a ballast water treatment device which enables efficient and effective filter cleaning, a ballast water treatment device has a configuration in which a cylindrical filter (2) through which ballast water flowing therein flows out after being subjected to filtration treatment is disposed in a casing (1), and is provided with: a filter rotation means (3) which rotates the filter (2) about the axis thereof; a drain means (4) which drains water in the casing (1); a high-pressure fluid jetting means (6) which is provided on the primary side or the secondary side or the primary side and the secondary side of the filter (2) and jets a high-pressure fluid toward the inner peripheral surface or the outer peripheral surface or the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the filter (2); and a control means (8) which opens a drain valve (7) of the drain means (4) when a ballast water treatment operation is stopped, and jets the high-pressure fluid toward the inner peripheral surface or the outer peripheral surface or the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the filter (2) by the high-pressure fluid jetting means (6) while rotating the filter (2) by the filter rotation means (3).
