Abstract:
A balloon catheter (1A) comprises: an expansion part (3B) having a tubular shape extending in the extension direction; a distal end connecting part (3A) extending from the distal end (30D) of the expansion part (3B) to the opposite side of the expansion part (3B); and a proximal end connecting part (3C) extending from the proximal end (30P) of the expansion part (3B) to the opposite side of the expansion part (3B). A balloon (3) has an inner thick film part (4A) and a thin film part (40) differing in thickness from each other. The inner thick film part (4A) is thicker than the thin film part (40). The outer diameter, which is the radial distance from the central axis (C1) extending in the extension direction through the center of the expansion part (3B) to an outer surface (302), is the same in the thin film part (40) as in the inner thick film part (4A). The inner diameter, which is the radial distance from the central axis (C1) to an inner surface (301), is smaller in the inner thick film part (4A) than in the thin film part (40).
