Abstract:
Provided is an innovative band-shaped lubricating material for dry wiredrawing which not only can be used under severe wiredrawing conditions, such as high-temperature high-pressure high-speed conditions, like conventional powdery or granular lubricants for dry wiredrawing, but also can accommodate both diameter reductions to a wide range of wire diameters ranging from a small to a large diameter and a wide range of wire speeds ranging from a low to a high speed. The lubricating material is not limited in the shapes of works, is excellent in terms of lubricity, conformability, spreadability, adhesion, heat resistance, processability, workability, safety, durability, productivity, and other function, is effective in improving the working environment, and is friendly to the global environment.
This band-shaped lubricating material for dry wiredrawing is a material comprising a film which comprises 10-90 wt.% metal salt of a saturated fatty acid and 10-90 wt.% thermoplastic resin.
