Abstract:

Provided is a band-shaped member of which the periphery can be expanded when helically wound to manufacture a helical pipe. A helical pipe 9 is manufactured by providing a first fitting part 93 at one end of a cross section orthogonal to an extending direction of a band-shaped member 90, providing a second fitting part 94 at the other end of the cross section, winding the band-shaped member 90 helically, and fitting the second fitting part 94 into a portion of the first fitting part 93 that is one turn ahead. The band-shaped member 90 has, when wound, a cross-sectional shape of which a reference width direction W9 connecting the first fitting part 93 and the second fitting part 94 on the cross section to each other can be inclined toward an outer surface side with increasing distance toward the first fitting part 93 side. Preferably, a neutral weak axis LN9 in the cross section is inclined toward the inner surface side with increasing distance toward the first fitting part 93 side, relative to the reference width direction W9.
