Abstract:
The bandage according to this invention is a bandage product that includes all the procedures into one product for the purpose of wound dressing for circumcision wound after the circumcision surgical procedure or for the wound that requires the bandage to be wrapped around such as fingers, by developing a bandage that comprises of a wound stickiness reducer solution at one end of the bandage which is flexible and has a suitable binding force in order to help stopping the bleeding, absorbing the exudates from the wound wherein the other end having an adhering part which can be folded shut right after the wound dressing procedure is done. Further, the bandage according to this invention can help reduce the products and the procedure needed for wound dressing for the circumcision wound or the wound that need to have the bandage wrapped around, making it easier and convenient to use in one step, wound non-sticking when changing the bandage. Additionally, the patient could use the bandage according to this invention at home and with its suitable flexibility and binding force this will help the wound heal in a faster pace.

Claims:
CLAIMS

1 . A bandage that has been sterilized characterized In that;

- a bandage (1 ) having a wound stickiness reducer part (1 1 ) on one end of said bandage and an adhering part (12) on the other end;

- the wound stickiness reducer part (11) is coated with a wound stickiness reducer substances comprising of a water soluble part which is at least a biocellulose and an oil soluble part which is coaled on the said wound stickiness reducer part (11);

- the adhering part (12) is arranged for wrapping around the wound and the said adhering part (12) covers the wound after the wound dressing procedure.

2. The bandage according to claim I wherein the water-soluble part comprises of carboxymethyi cellulose, biocellulose and glycerol.

3. The bandage according to claim 2 wherein the oil-soluble part comprises of petro latum and fatty alcohol.

4. The bandage according to claim 1 to claim 3 wherein the wound stickiness reducer part (1 1) comprising at least a carboxymethyi cellulose with 1-10 %w/w.

5. The bandage according to claim 1 to claim 3 wherein the wound stickiness reducer part (11) comprising at least a biocellulose with 0.1-5 %WAV.

6. The bandage according to claim I to claim 3 wherein the wound stickiness reducer part (1 1) comprising at least a glyceirol with 1-10 %w/W.

7. The bandage according to claim 1 wherein the oil soluble part of the wound stickiness reducer part (1 1) comprising of petroleum or petrolatum with 1-20 %w/w and fatty alcohol with 1 -10 %w/w.

8. The bandage according to one of claim l to claim 7 wherein the wound stickiness reducer part coated with a disinfectant solution, preferably chosen from at least one of the followings; silver nanoparticles or chlorhcxidine or derivatives of the said disinfectant or in combination thereof.

9. The bandage according to claim t to claim 7 wherein the wound stickiness reducer part (If) is impregnated with a disinfectant solution, suitably ch!orhexidine at 0-5 %w/w.

The bandage according to any of claim 1, claim 2 or claim 4 wherein the biocel lulose is produce preferably from cellulose producing bacteria groups which can be chosen from the bacterial genus of Acctobacter, Azotobacter, Rhizobium, Psuedomonas, Salmonella or A lealigeneS: or combination thereof.

11. The bandage according to claim 1 wherein the adhering pari ( 12) preferably chosen from coating an adhesive solution on the adhering part (12) of the bandage (1) or to adhere the adhering part ( 12) at the end portion of the bandage (1 ) by any of adhering methods.

12. The bandage according to claim 1 or claim 10 wherein the adhering pari (12) having at least one of the same materials as the bandage (1 ) or a different material as the bandage (1) or in combination thereof.

13. The bandage according to one of claim 1 , claim 10 to claim 11 wherein the adhering pari (12) and the bandage (l) in the arrangement that the adhering part and the bandage (1 ) having different materials.

14. The bandage according to one of claim 1 or claim 10 to claim 12 wherein the adhering part

(2) is preferably in a form of a bandage tape attaching to the end of the bandage (1) in which the said bandage tape is Coated with glue weighting 50-55 grams per square metres.

15. The bandage according to one of claim 1 or claim 10 to claim 13 wherein the adhering part

(12) is coated with a disinfectant solution, preferably chosen from at least one of the followings; silver nanoparticles or chlorhexidine or derivatives of the said disinfectant or in combination thereof.

16. The bandage according to one of claim 1 or claim 10 to claim 14 wherein the adhering part (12) is coated with a disinfectant solution, preferably chlorhexidine at 0-5 %w/w.

17. The bandage according to claim 1 wherein the bandage (1) is in the Arrangement that the thread is woven with cotton thread in horizonal direction at 60-70 threads per inches.

18. The bandage according to claim 1 wherein the bandage. ( 1 ) is in the arrangement.. that the thread is woven with nylon thread in vertical direction at 15-25 threads per inches.

19. The bandage according id claim 1 wherein the bandaged) is arranged to have the preferably thickness of 0.1-5 millimetres.

20. ITie bandage according to claim 1 wherein the bandage (1 ) is in the arrangement that the wound stickiness reducer part (1 1) or the adhering part (12) having the preferably length in the range of 1/4 to 1/3 of the total length.

21. The bandage according to claim 1 wherein the bandage (1) having the weight per area in the range ofl 20-160 grams per square metres.

22, The bandage according to claim 1 wherein the bandage (1) having the flexibility in the range of 60-80% of the original length of the fabric.

23. The bandage according to claim 1 wherein the bandage ( 1.) absorption capacity is in the range of 8-12 grams per 100 square centimetres.

Field of the invention

The invention relates to material engineering of bandages. Background of the invention

Circumcision procedure is not only performed based on Islamic religious believe hut it also has several medical advantages or benefits such as easily to maintain good hygiene, reducing tire risk of cancer such as penile cancer or reducing the change of contacting venereal disease, as well as lessening the transmission of HP V virus in which this consequently decrease the risk of cervical cancer for the sexual partner which mainly caused by the HFV virus. Furthermore, foe foreskin of the penile is an area that easily collects impurities and sweats, therefore, circumcision can help reduces the collection of impurity and to prevent certain diseases.

Nevertheless, the post-circumcision care nowadays still use the traditional method of wound dressings that is done by firstly, : cleaning the wound with a cotton soaked with saline solution, followed by a disinfectant solution such as Betadine solution, then placing the non- adherent mesh over the wound and then cover it with a gauze which is then folded into a rectangle shape then wrapping it around the wound. Additionally adding another layer of gauze and seal it with a wound dressing tape or a adhesive bandage. The procedure as mentioned is therefore, requires several steps and is time· consuming, as Well as the elastic gauze and the bandage fiber usually sticks to the wound, causing pain and discomfort when removing the wound dressing.

Considering the inventions related to bandages currently from the Thai patent database, patents founded are Thai Patent application number 1301003426, invention title“Adhesive bandages with two objectives” which comprises with a supporting back Sheet, pressure-sensitive adhesive solution which is placed bn the supporting back sheet and al absorbance pad that is attached to the supporting back sheet, ' t he said absorbent pad is formed to have a pocket with at least one open end for the support of removable heat pocket. This heat management device comprises of a bandage with two objectives and the heat pocket.

Also, the Thai Patent application number 1301001333, invention title“Disposable absorbing layer with Antimicrobial Agents” which disclosed a disposable absorbing layer comprising an absorbing material with an antimicrobial agents including a conducting materials consisting of fatty alcohol and Poly (Alkylcne oxide) Polymer and Antimicrobial Agents which are coated on the substrate of a component such as non-woven fabric and film which is included in the disposable absorbing layer for instance a bandage and a wound dressing,

The That patent application number 9501002710, Invention title“Self-adhesive bandage” consisting of a mesh band that made from a flexible substance which orie portion of the curve contacting surface and the protruding top has been evenly arranged on the top surface. The bottom surface of the mesh band whereas the lop and the bottom surfaces are coated with Silica gel. With Hie aforesaid process, (he wound will be wrapped by the material and/or by the procedure of the Curve and protruding part of the top surface aroutid the wound area which would be adhere in accordance with the protruding part and the curve surface of the bandage bottom layer Which is coated with silica for the purpose of adhering in the said area. In conclusion, this invention is for enhancing the adhesive property of the bandage by developing the external appearance of the bandage in to the form of a band.

As well as the Thai patent application number 1201004593, Invention title“Water resistance medical bandage 1* is arranged to consist of a water-resistance material to be placed at the wounded limb area in which it comprises of a main structure woven horn a synthetic thread which each thread composed of a fine monofilament that is woven together.

As mentioned above, the prior inventions relating to bandages emphasis on the developments Of ah adhesive bandage dr adding the adhesive and the bandage properties, whereas the bandage in this invention having an objective of developing the bandage that combine all the functions into one bandage which reduce the materials or the products and the procedures of wound dressing and the chance of getting an adhesion, as well as adding the sufficient force to stop/stanch the bleeding and speeding tire wound healing process.

Summary of the invention

The bandage according to this invention is a bandage that combines all the functions into one process for the treatment of circumcision wound by developing the bandage that comprises of a wound stickiness reducer part on one surface of the bandage which directly contacting the wound ansa wherein the said part is coated on a fabric that has a suitable flexibility and a binding force to stop the bleeding, as well as to absorb the exudates from the wound wherein the other end having a adhesive part that can be folded closed right after the wound dressing procedure is completed. The bandage according to this invention having the objective to develop a bandage for circumcision wound dressing or for the wound that requires to ha ve a bandage to be folded or wrapped around such as fingers for example Consequently, it will help reducing the materials or the products and the procedures of wound dressing into one step, making it easier and more convenient to use, reducing the sticking to the wound during the wound dressing process, also the patient could use the bandage according to this invention at home and with its appropriate flexibility and the binding force, this will help the wound heal in a Paster pace.

The bandage according to this invention is a sterile bandage that is suitable for placing over the wound after the circumcision procedure or the wound in the area that the bandage needs to be wrapped around such as fingers, it comprising a bandage (1 ) having a rectangle shape and have all the functions in one unit which ate a bandage (1) that have a wound stickiness reducer part (11) and a adhering part (12) which have the appropriate flexibility and the binding force properties to make (he bleeding stop more effectively.

Wherein the bandage according to this invention comprises of a bandage ( 1) wherein one end having a wound stickiness reducer part ( l 1) and the other end having an adhering pari ( 12). Wherein the wound .stickiness reducer part (1 1) is an area for attaching a wound sticking reduction material or to be coated with a wound sticking reduction solution or to be used in combination thereof, on the said wound stickiness reducer part ( 1 1 ) of the said bandage (1 ) which preferably, the said wound stickiness reducer part ( I I ) is the area that would directly contact with the wound and is coated with the wound stickiness reducer solution for the purpose of reducing the wound from sticking to the bandage, easy for cleaning and reducing the pain while changing the bandage.

Wherein the other end of the bandage comprising an adhering part ( 12) for wrapping around the wound that need to have the bandage wrapped around such as the circumcision wound or the wound on the tip of the finger or other part of the body surface that need to have the bandage wrapped around wherein the said adhering part (12) can be coated with cither adhering solution such as glue by the said adhering part (12) having the same material as the bandage ( l) or connected said adhering part ( 12) to the end of the bandage ( 1) with different materials or ih combination thereof. Wherein, the adhering part (12) can be selected from coated with glue or adhering tape dr in combination thereof which preferably the adhering part ( 12) is attached to the end of the· said bandage (1 ) wherein the adhering part (12) and the bandage (1 ) is arranged to use different materials.

The adhering pari (2) suitably in the form of a wound dressing tape that is attached to the end of the bandage (!) wherein the said wound dressing tape can effectively ventilates air and humidity in which helps to reduce the humidity within the wound and stop the growth of pathogens in which the, said tape is coated with Hypoallergenic Acrylic glue Adhesive weighting around 50- 55 grams per square metres (g/m 2 ) wherein the adhering part (12) is arranged to folded to close the wound right after the wound dressing procedure is completed in which this will help making wound dressing more convenient and eliminate: the use of the wound dressing adhering tape.

The said wound stickiness reducer solution is arranged to coat onto the wound stickiness reducer part ( 1 1 ) of the bandage which comprises of a water soluble part consisting of carboxymethyl cellulose with 1-10 %w/w, biocellulose with 0.1-5 %w/w and glycerol with 1 -10

%w/w then filling the water up to 100 %w/w as for the oil soluble part consisting of petrolatum with 1 -20 %w/w and fatty alcohol with 1-10 %w/w then combining these 2 parte together which the end product will be the said wound stickiness reducer solution.

Whereas the said biocellulose which is one of the components of the wound Stickiness reducer solution which has an essential property which helps to reduce the wound sticking to the bandage by using cellulose nanofiber which have a very fine fiber in nanometric scale which this also helps wound cleaning process done more easily. Also, the said biocellulose is produce preferably chosen from the cellulose producing bacteria groups such as Acetobacter, Azotobacler, Rhisobium , Pseudomonas, Salmonella or Alcaligenes at least one species or combination thereof wherein the most suitable bacterial species are the bacteria in the genus of Aceiobacier group. For example, this invention is preferably the bacterial species of Acetobacter xylinum using to produce the cellulose fibers.

Additionally, the wound stickiness reduCer part (11) or the adhering part (12) or combination thereof is coated with a disinfecting agent that have disinfecting properties the microorganisms: in which the disinfecting agent can be chosen from Silver Nanoparticle or chlorhexidine pr the derivative of die said disinfecting agent or combination thereof, which preferably is chlorhexidine at 0-5 %w/w.

The bandage (I) according to this invention having the flexible property and having the thickness preferably in the range of 0.1 -5 millimetres and having more density Of the woven fabric by woven the threads in horizonal direction at 60-70 threads per inches with cotton fibers which have an absorbent property, woven the threads in vertical direction at 15-25 threads per inches with nylon fibers which have a flexible property wherein adding the density of the fabric as mentioned would increase the properties of the material to be more absorbent and more flexible. Additionally the wound stickiness reducer part. (1 1) or the adhering part (12) having the preferable length at 1/4 to 1/3 of the total length and the bandage ( I) having the weight by area in the range of 120-160 grams per square metres (g/tn 2 ), having the flexibility in the range of 60-80% of the original length of the fabric and the absorpt ion capacity in the range of 8-12 grams per 100 square centimetres.

Additionally, the bandage (1) according to this invention having one end of the wound stickiness reducer part (1 1) coated with a wound stickiness reducer substance which will contact try the wound, then wrapping it around the wound dressing with the adhering part (12) of the bandage (1 ) which have the adhering material, making it easier and convenient to use, reducing the process and the products needed for wound dressing. Furthermore, the bandage according to this in vention i s arranged to be wrapped around the circumcision wound or the wound that requires the bandage to be wrapped around up to 3-6 rounds , such as fingers wound and when considering only the wound stickiness reducer part (1 1 ) is arranged to be wrapped around the circumcision wound or the wound that requires the bandage to be wrapped around up to 1 -3 rounds, such as fingers wound.

Any modification of this invention may be clearly understood and performed by those experts with skills in the related arts or related fields. This may be subjected to the scope and intent of this present invention as described in the claims attached. The best method of invention is as described in detailed description of the invention.
