Disclosed is a bandwidth adjustment method that adjusts the frequency bandwidth used by a first communications device within a first communications system from among the first communications system and a second communications system that share usable frequency bandwidth. The method determines whether an increase in the frequency bandwidth used by the first communications device is necessary, on the basis of the frequency bandwidth that the first communications device uses and the number of connections to the first communications device; determines whether to permit the increase of frequency bandwidth used by the first communications device according to whether frequency bandwidth that is not being used by a second communications device within the second communications system that overlaps in coverage with the first communications device is available; and increases the frequency bandwidth used by the first communications device if permission is given for the increase thereof.
