Abstract:
A bandwidth part (BWP) processing method and device, the method comprising: when a deactivation timer corresponding to an active first BWP times out, determining whether a carrier wave in which the first BWP is located comprises a second BWP which is in an active state; and when the carrier wave comprises a second BWP in an active state, deactivating the first BWP. By means of the present method, an unnecessary BWP handover process may be avoided, and furthermore, because the method does not subsequently re-activate a default BWP or an initial BWP, a terminal also does not need to re-monitor a default BWP or an initial BWP, but rather it is only necessary to monitor a second BWP in a current carrier wave, which may reduce the overhead of a terminal monitoring BWPs, and thus reduce the power consumption of a terminal in a communication process.
