Abstract:
This banknote processing device (1000) comprises: a receiving unit (1002) for sending banknotes being received into a device; a conveyor unit (1003) for conveying banknotes sent by the receiving unit; an identification unit (1004) for identifying the banknotes and outputting identification signals; a first storage unit (1005) to which a conveyance path is connected and in which identified banknotes are stored; and a control unit (1007) that, in the receiving process, determines, on the basis of the identification signals, whether the banknotes being received are to be digitized, and outputs control signals so that banknotes to be digitized are stored in the first storage unit.
