Abstract:

This base material (1) for a hard sintered compact has a central axis (C), extends in the axial direction of the central axis (C), and has a multistage columnar shape. The base material (1) for a hard sintered compact is provided with a small diameter part (2), a large diameter part (3) having a larger outer diameter than the small diameter part (2), a base material end surface (4) located between the end, on one side in the axial direction, of the outer periphery of the large diameter part (3) and the end, on the other side in the axial direction, of the small diameter part (2), and facing the one side in the axial direction, an annular corner part (5) at which the outer periphery of the large diameter part (3) and the base material end surface (4) are connected, and a first inclined part (6) disposed in at least a part, in the circumferential direction, of the annular corner part (5). The first inclined part (6) is inclined inward in the radial direction toward the one side in the axial direction.
