Title:
BASE MATERIAL FOR RFID TAG ADAPTED TO METALLIC MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/097385
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an RFID tag substrate suitable for an RFID tag of the electric wave type. The substrate is prevented from any change, as might otherwise be caused by the influences of the contents of a container, in the communication characteristics of the RFID tag, and from being deteriorated in the communication properties of the RFID tag even in a metallic container. The substrate can keep excellent the communication characteristics of the RFID tag irrespective of the material or contents of the container, and can be thinned and reduced in the tag size so that the RFID tag for general purposes can be employed as it is. The RFID tag (20) for radio communications between readers and writers is attached to the RFID tag substrate (10). This RFID tag substrate (10) is constituted to include a substrate layer (11), and a functional layer (12) composed of a highly dielectric layer (12a) and a highly permeable layer (12b) of different characteristics. The functional layer (12) has a predetermined specific dielectric constant and a predetermined specific permeability, the product of which is 250 or more.
