Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a base paper for use in a translucent paper that is obtained by impregnating the base paper with a transparent resin; a translucent paper in which the base paper is used; and a method for manufacturing the translucent paper. The base paper for a translucent paper comprises a softwood chemical pulp and a hardwood chemical pulp as main components, with the ratio of the softwood chemical pulp to the hardwood chemical pulp being from 75:25 to 51:49. The basis weight of the base paper for the translucent paper is 40 to 100 g/m2, and the air permeability of the base paper for the translucent paper is 10 to 40 seconds.
