Abstract:
A base station according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a wireless communication unit that wirelessly communicates with a portable terminal, and is provided with a damage detection unit that detects damage, an abnormality detection unit that detects congestion and/or network function loss, and a control unit. When the damage detection unit detects damage and the abnormality detection unit detects congestion and/or network function loss, the control unit causes the wireless communication unit to transmit a state limiting signal to the portable terminal that causes a transition to a state limiting mode for limiting power consumption.
