This base station having a first feature supports Single Cell Point To Multipoint (SC-PTM). The base station is provided with a transmitter for transmitting signals to user terminals, and a controller for configuring a first setting and a second setting in the user terminals. The first setting relates to the user terminal intermittently monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) over which is transmitted a control signal for receiving multicast data transmitted from the base station by SC-PTM. The first setting includes an On-duration timer, which indicates the time that the user terminal receives the PDCCH. The first setting corresponds to a group Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) which is allocated commonly to the multiple user terminals that receive the same multicast data by SC-PTM. The second setting relates to the user terminal intermittently monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) over which is transmitted a control signal for receiving data transmitted by the base station by another transmission method.
