Abstract:
An ethylene/(meth)acrylate-based elastomer which has a structure obtained by copolymerizing 40-79.9 mol% ethylene, 20.0-50.0 mol% alkyl (meth)acrylate in which the alkyl group has 1-8 carbon atoms and/or alkoxy (meth)acrylate having a C2-C8 alkoxyalkyl group, 0.05-20.0 mol% monosaturated ester of an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, and 0-20.0 mol% unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride and in which the acid anhydride has a degree of monoesterification with saturated compound, as determined by IR, of 70% or higher. This ethylene/(meth)acrylate-based elastomer gives vulcanized objects excellent in terms of heat resistance and moldability.
