Abstract:
A battery-specific characteristic generating unit 112 estimates a state of charge (SOC) - open circuit voltage (OCV) curve of a cell block contained in a battery pack, a resistance of the cell block, and a capacitance of the cell block, for each battery pack, and calculates a resistance-capacitance product by multiplying the resistance of the cell block by the capacitance of the cell block. A cell type identification unit 113 identifies a type of cell included in an undefined battery pack on the basis of a degree of coincidence of the SOC-OCV curve for a cell block of an undefined battery pack and the SOC-OCV curve for a defined cell block, and a degree of coincidence of the resistance-capacitance product of the cell block of the undefined battery pack and the resistance-capacitance product of the defined cell block.
