A battery changing system for an electric vehicle comprises: a battery pack management device (3), an automatic battery changing device (1) disposed at one side of the battery pack management device (3), and a manual battery changing device (2) disposed at the other side of the battery pack management device (3). The battery pack management device (3) comprises a first battery exchanging port (4) and a second battery exchanging port (5). The first battery exchanging port (4) is configured to receive a battery pack with low charge removed from the automatic battery changing device (1) and provide a battery pack fully charged for the automatic battery changing device (1). The second battery exchanging port (5) is configured to receive a battery pack with low charge removed from the manual battery changing device (2) and provide a battery pack fully charged for the manual battery changing device (2). The battery changing system comprises both an automatic battery changing device and a manual battery changing device, has a simple system structure and is safe, reliable and easy to operate. The battery changing system can be broadly applied to a variety of places and when one of the battery changing devices goes wrong, a user can still use the other battery changing device to change a battery normally, improving user experience.
