Disclosed in the present application is a battery, comprising an electrode assembly. The electrode assembly comprises a stacked portion and a second layer. The stacked portion comprises a first conductive layer, a second conductive layer, and a first layer which is arranged between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer. The stacked portion is configured to be of a wound structure, and further comprises a first surface and a first end, and the second layer is connected to the first surface of the stacked portion. A thickness direction of the electrode assembly is defined as a first direction, and the first surface, when observed from the first direction, has a first region located on a first side of the first end and a second region located on a second side of the first end. In a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, the first side and the second side are located on two opposite sides of the first end. When being observed in a winding direction of the stacked portion, the second region is closer to the first end than the first region. The second layer covers at least part of the first end and is connected to the first region and the second region. The second layer is provided with an identification portion.
