Title:
BATTERY MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND INTEGRATED CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/003806
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention suppresses power consumption during balancing and improves the reliability of balancing. A battery management device 1 comprises: cell controllers 41, 42 that perform balancing to adjust the voltage of a plurality of battery cells 2 which are secondary batteries; and a control unit 3 that controls the cell controllers 41, 42. The cell controller 41 includes: a main timer 412 that calculates an elapsed time for stopping the cell controller 41; and a stop management unit 413 that stops the cell controller 41 when an abnormality occurs in the main timer 412. In the battery management device 1, the battery cells 2, which supply power to the main timer 412 and the stop management unit 413, and a lead storage battery 7, which supplies power to the control unit 3, are mutually different power sources.
