Abstract:
A battery management device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a communication unit configured to receive first state information including at least one of the voltage, the current, and the temperature of a first battery module connected to an external device from the external device; a measurement unit configured to measure at least one of the voltage, the current, and the temperature of a connected second battery module; and a control unit, which is configured to: receive the first state information from the communication unit; receive second state information including at least one of the voltage, the current, and the temperature of the second battery module from the measurement unit; determine whether it is necessary to replace at least one of the first battery module and the second battery module, on the basis of the first state information and the second state information; and output an alarm code corresponding to a result of the determination.
