Abstract:
A battery 1 includes: a charge/discharge body 10 that includes electrodes (positive electrode 11 and negative electrode 12) provided with electrode tabs (positive electrode tab 11b and negative electrode tab 12b); insulated covers (positive electrode tab cover 66 and negative electrode tab cover 67) that face a side portion (one side portion 10a) of the charge/discharge body 10 from which the electrode tabs protrude, and cover the charge/discharge body 10; and an electrically conductive container 51 that accommodates the charge/discharge body 10 covered by the cover. Each cover includes: a main body portion (main body portion 66a, etc.) which covers the side portion of the charge/discharge body 10; an insertion portion (insertion portion 66b, etc.) which is formed so as to have a notched shape with an opening in an outer edge 66a1 of the main body portion, and through which an electrode tab is inserted; and a wall portion (wall portion 66c, etc.) which extends further in a direction away from the side portion than the main body portion, and which separates an inner surface 51c of the container 51 and the insertion portion.
