Abstract:
Disclosed is a battery module, which facilitates manufacturing processes for a secondary battery and a bus bar and enhances durability and space utilization for a product. The battery module comprises: a plurality of secondary batteries, each of which includes an electrode assembly configured to have a cathode plate, an anode plate and a separator interposed therebetween, an electrolyte, an outer case for accommodating the electrode assembly and the electrolyte in an inner space thereof, a main body unit having one end electrically connected with the cathode plate or the anode plate of the electrode assembly and the other end protruding and extending from the outer case to the outside, a plate-shaped head unit formed to extend from the other end of the main body unit in both directions, which are perpendicular to the protruding direction of the main body unit, and an electrode lead having at least a part made of an electrically conductive material; and a bus bar including at least a plate-shaped part made of the electrically conductive material, and having a slit extending from one end part toward the inner direction thereof such that a part of the main body is inserted into the slit.
