Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of batteries, and provides a battery module and a manufacturing method. The battery module comprises: two or more groups of battery packs, each group of the battery packs comprising two or more cells; a module frame comprising an end plate and a side plate, an accommodating cavity for fixing the battery pack being enclosed by the end plate and the side plate; a middle plate arranged between the two battery packs and internally provided with an accommodating groove; and a battery management unit provided in the accommodating groove of the middle plate and connected to sampling lines of the cells. The battery management unit is provided in the accommodating groove in the middle plate, so that the failure of the battery management unit caused by the expansion pressure of the cell can be prevented; and the battery management unit is provided in the middle plate, so that over-high temperature caused by heating of the cell and a bus line can be prevented, thereby greatly improving the reliability of the battery management unit.
