Abstract:
A battery module according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a first frame member for accommodating the battery cell stack and having an upper opening; and a second frame member provided on the first frame member to cover the battery cell stack, wherein a surface of the battery cell stack which is perpendicular to a direction in which the plurality of battery cells are stacked is provided on a bottom portion of the first frame member, the bottom portion of the first frame member has a stepped portion formed at one side thereof, and protrusions of the battery cells protrude towards the stepped portion.
