Abstract:
The present invention relates to a battery module having a simplified structure and a battery pack including the same, the battery module comprising: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; an end plate configured to cover the front and rear surfaces of the battery cell stack; a bus bar frame formed between the battery cell stack and the end plate; a sensing member connecting the bus bar frame from above the battery cell stack; an insulation plate formed between the end plate and the bus bar frame; and a side plate configured to cover both side surfaces of the battery cell stack, wherein mounting parts are formed at both ends of the end plate, the lower surface of the battery cell stack is open, the outmost battery cell of the battery cell stack and the side plate are coupled to each other, and the side plate and the end plate are coupled to each other, thus fixing the plurality of battery cells.
