Abstract:
A battery module (1) is configured to be provided with: a plurality of battery blocks (3) arranged side by side in an X direction; and a heat insulation board (4) that is arranged in a space in the X direction between battery blocks, which are adjacent in the X direction, and that has heat insulating properties. The battery blocks (3) include: a plurality of cylindrical batteries arranged in two or more rows in a staggered manner, in a state in which central axes thereof are aligned and in close contact; and block cases (12) that each surround the entire circumference of the periphery of a battery unit comprising the plurality of cylindrical batteries (20) so that the plurality of cylindrical batteries (20) are kept in close contact with each other.
