Abstract:
The present application relates to a battery module. The battery module comprises a plurality of cells that are sequentially stacked, and at least one buffer member. The buffer member is arranged between at least two of the plurality of cells, and the buffer member can generate elastic deformation, such that when the cells expand, the buffer member provides an expansion space, and when the cells contract, the buffer member is restored, wherein at least one of the thickness, length and width of the buffer member is associated with the corresponding one of the thickness, length and width of the cells. When the buffer member deforms within a strain interval range of 0%-85%, an acting force of 0 Mpa-1 Mpa is provided. When the battery module is not charged, the battery cells bear a certain pressure, such that the battery module is compact in terms of overall structure and is in a compressed state; and when the battery module is charged, the battery cells are allowed to expand to a certain extent. Accordingly, the cycle life of the battery module is significantly prolonged.
