Title:
BATTERY MODULE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/276656
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This battery module comprises an assembled battery (4) in which a plurality of battery blocks (3) are connected in an axial direction of a plurality of cylindrical batteries (1), which are provided in each of the battery blocks (3) with bottom surfaces (11a) disposed on one and the same plane. The assembled battery (4) is provided with a cooling plate (5) for cooling the cylindrical batteries (1). Each of the battery blocks (3) has one end surface providing a cooling surface (3A) on which the bottom surfaces (11a) of the cylindrical batteries (1) are disposed, and another end surface providing a discharge surface (3B) on which opening portions (13) of discharge valves of the cylindrical batteries (1) are disposed. The assembled battery (4) has a duct gap (6) between adjacent battery blocks (3) for a discharged product. The cooling surface (3A) and the discharge surface (3B) are disposed on opposite surfaces of the duct gap (6). The cooling plate (5) has an L-shape in which a heat-absorption plate portion (5A) and a heat-dissipating plate portion (5B) are connected. The heat-absorption plate portion (5A) is stacked in a thermally coupled state on the cooling surface (3A). The heat-dissipating plate portion (5B) is disposed on an outer surface of the assembled battery (4). The duct gap (6) is located between the heat-absorption plate portion (5A) and the discharge surface (3B) of the battery blocks (3).
