Abstract:
A battery pack and an apparatus, relating to the technical field of energy storage devices. The battery pack comprises a first box body (1), the first box body (1) comprising a frame (12) and a cross beam (13), the cross beam (13) being provided within the frame (11), and the cross beam (13) having a hollow structure and being provided with an exhaust port (132a); a baffle (15) connected to the cross beam (13) and closing the exhaust port (132a); and battery cells (5) accommodated in the first box body (1) and each provided with an explosion-proof valve (51), the explosion-proof valve (51) facing the baffle (15), and the baffle (15) being configured to exit from a state of blocking the exhaust port (132a) when the explosion-proof valve (51) of the battery cell (5) bursts. In the battery pack and apparatus, when thermal runaway occurs in a certain battery cell (5), the explosion-proof valve (51) of the battery cell (5) bursts, so that the baffle (15) exits from blocking the exhaust port (132a). The gas pressure released by the battery cell (5) can be discharged into the cross beam (13), thereby reducing the internal gas pressure of the accommodating area; in addition, the heat released by the battery cell (5) will not directly face other battery cells (5), thereby preventing the occurrence of thermal runaway of other adjacent battery cells (5), thus improving the safety performance of the battery pack.
