Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a battery pack for an electric vehicle and the electric vehicle, the battery pack being detachably mounted on a longitudinal beam of the electric vehicle. The battery pack for the electric vehicle comprises: a battery pack body, which comprises a box body and a box cover, the top of the box body having an opening, the box cover being arranged at the opening of the box body and covering the opening, and the box body being internally provided with a battery module for external charging and discharging; and a hanging member, which is arranged at the position at the top of the box cover that corresponds to a locking mechanism on the longitudinal beams. According to the present application, by means of the matching between the hanging member and the locking mechanism, the battery pack for the electric vehicle is locked on the longitudinal beam, and the battery pack is located below the longitudinal beam, so that the center of gravity of the electric vehicle can be lowered, thereby improving the driving stability of an electric truck; and grooving does not need to be performed on a battery pack body base, thereby simplifying the machining process of the battery pack body.
