Abstract:
Provided are a battery pack and a method for producing the same which enable easy positioning of the center axes of battery cells arranged linearly and electrically connected in series, and which enable improvement in accuracy of the positioning. The battery pack (1) has first and second battery cells (10A, 10B) which are arranged linearly and in series and each of which has a conductive and cylindrical exterior tube (13). A battery tab (20), through which the battery cells (10A, 10B) are electrically connected in series, is disposed between the positive electrode terminal of the first battery cell (10A) and the negative electrode terminal of the second battery cell (10B). The battery tab (20) has: a welding plate part (22) disposed between the battery cells (10A, 10B); and an energization plate part (23) located on the radially outer side of the exterior tube (13) and continuous with the welding plate part (22). The welding plate part (22) has two projections (24) on a surface of the second battery cell (10B) opposite to the negative electrode terminal, the projections being fixed to the negative electrode terminal by projection welding.
