This battery pack (10) is provided with multiple battery cells (1), a lower holding member (12) which is provided so as to hold the top of the battery cells (1) arranged and aligned by means of a battery housing unit (13) and in which lower openings are formed to expose the negative terminal side of the battery cells, an upper holding member (14) in which upper openings are formed to expose the positive terminal side of the battery cells, a positive electrode collector plate and a negative electrode collector plate which are connected to the terminals of the battery cells, and a holding unit (20) which is configured from the upper holding member (14) and the lower holding member (12). In the holding unit (20), upper gas flow paths (40) are formed which forwardly guide gas ejected from the battery cells (1); inside of the holding unit (20), lower gas flow paths (50) are formed around the multiple battery cells, and exhaust ports (52) are formed in the holding unit (20). Also, communication ports are formed in the upper holding member (14) which allow the upper gas flow paths (40) to communicate with the lower gas flow paths (50).
