Abstract:
The present invention provides a battery pack. The battery pack comprises: an electrode assembly to which an electrode tab is connected; and first and second exteriors coupled so as to face each other, and having both an accommodation part for accommodating the electrode assembly and a terrace part extending across the electrode tab, so as to seal the accommodation part, wherein the terrace part comprises: a battery cell including a first surface of the first exterior side and a second surface of the second exterior side; a protective circuit module electrically connected with the battery cell and arranged on the first surface of the terrace part; and a current blocking element electrically connected with the protective circuit module and arranged on the second surface of the terrace part. According to the present invention, provided is a battery pack comprising: a protective circuit module forming a charging/discharging path of a battery cell; and a current blocking element for limiting a charging/discharging current in an abnormal situation such as overheating of the battery cell, and being advantageous to compactness without generating spatial interference between the protective circuit module and the current blocking element.
