Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a battery-separator nonwoven fabric and a battery separator that have excellent heat resistance, small pore diameters, and large tensile elongation and piercing strength. [Solution] This battery-separator nonwoven fabric is configured from fibers A comprising a nanofiber with a fiber diameter of 100-1000 nm, fibers B comprising a thermally fusible, ultrafine fiber with a fiber diameter of 100-2000 nm, and fibers C comprising a thermally fusible fiber with a single filament fineness of 0.1 dtex or more. By doing so, the tensile elongation of the nonwoven fabric is 10% or more.
